2 weeks Old and its all go!!

Sorry its taken me two weeks to get you all an update. I have had Mum and Dad running around getting used to looking after me properly. Ive tried to help them out by sleeping as much as I can for good periods of time so that they can get some rest and be ready for me.

I was looking through my wee photo album and found a photo of me pre my birthday with my Mum and AuntyAngela. She and Uncle Bevan are busy getting ready for my cousin to arrive and change their world.

Just to give Aunty Angela some practise, Mum
has had her changing me and looking after me a few times.

Heres a question - who invented the words Mum and Dad. Ive looked all over the place and cant find anything for it.

I was very spolit one day when my Great grand parents and grand parents all visited.

Grandpa Scott (Lance ) and Great Grandpa Scott thought that they would do a cheesy photo shot with Mum. I think Mum was there to make sure I did not get lead astray with Cigars and Whiskey.

Great Nanny Scott was in good form and took great care of me. I dont think I filled my duds whilst she looked after me - I save that for when Mum and Dad are looking after me ;-)

I sent Dad out to get a book so that he and Mum could learn a few tricks of the trade to look after me and make sure that I was learing how to sleep properly.

I did manage to convince Mum and Dad to buy a new house for us and they have been busy getting everything ready for us to move into on the weekend so I will have my own room with my own toy wardrobe - and I need it. There must be no more toys left anywhere as they are all in my room - thanks to all who gave me some!

Nanny Christine thinks I am cure enough to eat but lucky for al of us she managed to restrain herself. (Might have to be careful if she ever gets hungry !

I'm so lucky I have 2 Nanny's! This is Nanna Cowie. Ive a sneaking suspicion that both my Nanna's think I am pretty cute and both want to steal me away - hold your horses ladies - theres plenty of time for those sort of shenannigans !

This is my Poppa Cowie, I like his red hair as he reminds me of a Viking with his beard. Just needs his axe now and a longboat. They live under the mountain in Taranaki (not on Rangitoto - thanks Maurice Gee for your reminder)

My Arrival into the World

Hi Everyone!!

I arrived into our big adventourous world on the 17th of July 2007 at 2210. I know, I know Mum and Dad tried to get me out to make it 17/07/2007 at 1707hrs and then at 2007hrs but the doctor just did not play the game! I know, what an oppotunity missed.

Here I am at day 0 minute 0 just arrived!

Anyway I arrived all ok, thanks Mum for looking after me this last 9 months, and got the first nappy done in record time (thanks Dad).

I weighed in at 8lb 10 or 3.9kgs. 8lb 10 sounds much more impressive and if you think about it as blocks of butter its 8 and 3/4 blocks of butter!!

I was waiting for the smack on my butt to make me breathe but apparently with section 59 repeal its illegal to smack us kids even in life saving situations - thanks Sue Bradford (idiot) (http://www.greens.org.nz/searchdocs/other8780.html)

So I spent my first night at Wellington hospital and then on Wednesday Dad came and picked up Mum and I and we went for our first car ride to Kenepuru Hospital so that Mum could get some rest and learn a few tricks of the trade to keep me happy from the midwifes there.

Getting ready for the car ride was a challenge - Mum and Dad had not figured out how to use the seat properly or the super cool swaddle that they bought in Brisbane. You'd think that they would have tried all the stuff first but guess you cant win them all.

More soon as Mum and Dad get some time to write (on my behalf) whilst I edit
